The Low Adaptive Watersports Foundation held an amazing event this past Saturday for the Wounded Warriors and their families.  The weather was perfect, the crowd was large and the watersports and fun lasted all day.  As the Veterans enjoyed the adaptive watersports on the waterski side of the Clubhouse Point there were more activities for the veterans and their families on Sailboat Beach including Paddle Boarding, Kayaking, Pontoon Boat Rides and various other activities.  The Snowcone machine, which the ski team members handled with great expertise, and free snacks manned and sponsored by the Ladies of Orange County were also a huge hit!  A Delicious lunch was provided by Mission Barbeque. The response and thankful praise from the Veterans and their families was overwhelming.  They appreciated the experience more than they could even describe.  One caretaker wife broke into tears when she described what this event meant to her husband and their children saying it was one of the few times they have felt free of his disabilities and could just be a family.  On Lake Time did not have the numbers in attendance at this point in time but will release them when they are available.  Thank you to all the Volunteers and the Adaptive Watersports Foundation for this great event.  And it can never be said enough – Thank you to all our Veterans for your service and sacrifice for our county!
