FEB 17th –The Spotlighters Choral Concert at UUFF, 7 pm. The Spotlighters will present a choral concert Saturday, February 17 and 7:00 p.m. as part of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fredericksburg’s Spring Performance Series. This hour-long concert will feature many of the group’s favorite songs including popular songs from across the decades, patriotic pieces, and Broadway selections. This is a free performance with the option to participate in a love offering to benefit The Spotsylvanians and the UU Music Committee Baby Care Fund. Warrior Workshop and Defense Training- Come learn great self-defense strategies like Vocal Commands, Striking, Peper Sprays and how to use a Stun Gun. We will review how to get out of holds, and various options available for making sure you keep yourself and your Tribe protected! The Generals’ Quarters and Murder Mysteries Will Travel will present The Deadly Reception on Saturday, March 3 beginning at 6:00 p.m. Washington socialite Elizabeth Crandall hosts a reception for Senator Dan Drewnell and his beautiful wife Marcia. Just before the Senator is introduced, we learn he has been shot. Is it his new bride who some believed married him only for his money? Elizabeth’s ex-husband who has always been jealous of the Senator? His political opponent? Who did it? All have motives! Come and be part of the suspense and comedy. APRIL 14TH – FREDERICKSBURG BREWFEST- 11 am to 5 pm. Join us for an amazing day of CRAFT BEER, Music, Food and Fun. The gates open at 11:00 AM so come early and stay late to enjoy all the day has to offer! We will have over 40 craft brewers from all over the region sampling (Over 80 Samples) some of their award-winning beers. They will be pouring some of your favorites as well as a sneak peek into what will be on tap for 2018.
For those of you who enjoy a glass of wine or whiskey, we will also have a select number of Virginia Wineries and Distilleries sampling their award-winning beverages as well. Live Music will be on the SAFFORD of FREDERICKSBURG Main Stage!
If you are a BEER NERD then you may want to check out our VIP ticket for this event. We will have a whole tent designated for our true lovers of the brew. MAY 5th –Wicked Bottom 5K, Culpeper Parks and Rec.ONLY 275 SPACES AVAILABLE!!! Come on out for the 9th Annual Wicked Bottom 5K and experience the fun everyone had last year! This Cross Country run starts from the scenic grounds of Lenn Park. The course circles the northern side of the Park then crosses over to Old House Vineyards where you will pass the rows of vines while following the gravel road to the Old House, then return to Lenn Park where you will follow the gravel trail that winds along the border of the Park property in view of Mountain Run Creek. The course is fairly level with only a few short hills and with luck, you may catch a glimpse of wildlife. For more information please follow this link to -Wicked Bottom 5K.
