Yard Sale Season is Finally Here!

Hello, my name is Lee and I’m addicted to yard sales.  Aren’t you?

Honestly though, what a great way to meet your neighbors, save some serious coinage shopping and find that unique object.   Residents from LOW who are spring cleaning, downsizing, or just looking to peddle possessions are as exceptional and distinctive as the riches they’re parting with.  If you’ve been to a few local yard sales here at Lake of the Woods you already know the wide-ranging and assorted types of treasures to be found (wink wink).

Here are some tips for successful yard sale shopping:

Scope out any advertised sales beforehand here on the “On Lake Time Yard Sale Page”, and consider sketching out a map.    Check the local area Facebook groups for yard sale information.  Scan the Lake Currents.  Craigslist may be worth digging through.  Bear in mind though that yard sales within LOW are limited to LOW residents and their guests.  They’re not open to the general public.    Finally, get out there early and have fun, fun, fun!

Are you looking to sell through a yard sale or garage sale within Lake of the Woods?  There are some simple requirements.  Yard sales need approval (submission of a form).  Forms may be picked up at the Holcomb building and dropped off at the ECC (next to golf course clubhouse) or the Holcomb building.  Also, residents who wish to conduct yard sales are requested to coordinate their activities with Security, just to make sure required provisions can be provided for parking, to avoid unsafe road conditions.

Lastly, for more information on requirements, free yard sale advertising and classified postings, visit us at On Lake Time (http://www.lowlaketime.com/yard-sale-page/.  The administrators of the newly-launched On Lake Time website want to be your premier location for free classifieds and yard sale advertising local to Lake of the Woods.  So send us your yard sale information or items you have for sale.  We’ll post ‘em!
