For safety reasons, LOWA management will be closing the 9.9 yard waste location in early July until early August.  Last year there were some close calls with some users of the 9.9 being too close to the equipment and this created a dangerous situation so for the safety of everyone involved the 9.9 will be closed down for a month to complete the tub grinding process but will thankfully reopen in time to accept our mountains of falls leaves and brush.  If you have a contractor cleaning your yard please notify them that the 9.9 will be closed during that time and to make alternative plans such as the Orange County Landfill on Rt 20.

I don’t know about you but I will miss the convenience (even if only for a month) of being able to take my recent branches and brush to the 9.9 but I also want to thank LOWA for considering our safety and that of their workers in that area.  I will probably be one of the first in line when it reopens!
