LOWLINC is an organization dedicated to enabling older residents of Lake of the Woods to continue living safely and independently in their own homes and in our community for as long as possible. They provide services by referrals to existing community service organizations as well as through LOWLINC volunteers and vetted vendors. Services are provided primarily within Lake of the Woods consistent with the resources available to LOWLINC.

LOWLINC made this announcement earlier in May –

“The LOWLINC Board of Directors is pleased to announce that we have selected a new coordinator, Stacey L. Madigan. A California native, Stacey has lived here at LOW with her husband, Brian, for 11 years.  She has more than 20 years of executive administrative, office management and customer relations experience, most recently at the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce and several commercial real estate companies in Northern Virginia.  Stacey’s interest in volunteerism began at an early age, and she has worked with adults with disabilities, nursing home residents and animal rescue organizations.  Stacey currently is on the board of the Orange County Humane Society and has several rescue cats.  She also is devoted to her 95-year-old grandmother in California, managing her care from a distance.  Stacey has a genuine passion for helping others.  She is excited to meet our members and volunteers and to become part of LOWLINC.  She will start orientation next week and you should hear her voice when you call the LOWLINC number beginning about May 14.
We look forward to introducing Stacey to our LOWLINC family during May. Stacey plans to attend board and committee meetings as well as member social activities to get to know as many members and volunteers as possible.

LOWLINC brings a vital and much-needed aspect to the quality of life to so many of the older Lake of the Woods residents.
